Who is Broadreach?
Broadreach is a renewable energy finance company which was established in 2014. Broadreach was one of the pioneers of power purchase agreements (PPA’s) in the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV sector in South Africa and has developed, advised on and invested in over 170 projects, totaling over 30MW.

Broadreach operates different financing solutions for different customers, ranging from PPAs and Solar leases to Shared Savings Contracts and Project Finance.
Their systems are being installed on and off-grid and combine clean energy generation (solar PV and other technologies) with batteries, generators, energy-saving equipment and a full finance and maintenance package.

Fragmented Portals
AMMP has become a vital tool for Broadreach as it allows them to streamline their daily monitoring of sites, saving time and ultimately allowing them to offer a more professional O&M service to ther clients.
With AMMP they do not have to log in to individual sites as the centralised portal gives them a birds-eye view of their projects, with the option to drill down to the sites which might have issues. The data is presented in a unified format, and they can customise the dashboards to suit Broadreach’ needs.
Detailed Analytics
AMMP offers Broadreach an advanced analysis tool on MPPT or String level on some projects which enables them to identify system faults which might otherwise go unnoticed for some time. The integrated solar irradiation feed from Solecast gives Broadreach more accurate and advanced forecasting data, and assists with PR calculations for PPA contracts.
Custom Reporting
In terms of reports to Broadreach’s clients, they are able to customise their reports in AMMP to align with the Broadreach brand identity and can add comments to each report for more personal feedback to clients. They can also easily create monthly energy production and system performance reports for internal use.
